Rich in dramatic narrative, his work is darkly romantic, infused with intelligence and quirky playfulness; revealing, expressionistic and, in the truest sense, grotesque.
His art has been used in publications from cook books to coffee table anthologies; his multimedia in live performances ranging from contemporary ballet in the USA to political street theatre in Edinburgh UK. In 2009, Howard won the Shepton Digital Arts Award for his animated film-noir The Driver and in 2011 his audio work was featured by the visual artist/playwrite Jyll Bradley in a major exhibition at the Bluecoat Gallery in Liverpool. Greenspin, a videopoetry collaboration with poet Helen Moore, picked up an award at the 2013 Liberated Words International Poetry Festival.

Howard is an award winning multimedia fantasy artist, based in the South West of England. He uses traditional and digital media for creating both still and moving image pieces.
Howard grew up in Northern England and developed a childhood fascination for all things macabre, mysterious and magical.
After studying Advertising and Graphic Design in Manchester, he became a professional musician and later - as exciting creative technologies evolved - he emerged as a leading light in media arts education.
Howard now returns to his first love; fantasy art and illustration.
